Tour the Farm with Farmer Morris

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE A FARMER IN THE 21st CENTURY?

Likely, not what you've imagined... if THIS is what you have in mind!!!

Spend some time with the guy who grows the fruit and veggies at Barrie Hill Farms, and find out what it's like to work with Mother Nature on a daily basis.

TOUR DETAILS:

Each tour will be approximately one hour in length.
Cost $10 per person. Kids 5 and under are free.

Everyone will board a small passenger van for a slow tour around the farm. The tour will take you to where the action is on the farm that day. We will travel to the fruit and vegetable fields and see what is happening. Are we planting? Pruning? Are the plants flowering? Are we irrigating? Are we fertilizing? Are we harvesting? What is farmer Morris actually doing to keep things running smoothly?

We will get out of the van wherever there is something interesting going on. Everyone will have a chance to get their hands dirty (if desired!!) and meet the staff who are working hard to get the crops ready.

Each tour will be a little different, depending on the time of season.... so dress for the weather. Tours will go rain or shine!!

Ask any questions you like. You might want to find out more about our green policies or our Local Food Plus Certification. Learn exactly what happens in order to get the fruits and veggies on your plate.

You know your doctor, your dentist and the school teachers who teach your children. Get to know your local berry farmer!!
